May 22, 2022 | A Fresh Look at the Lordship of Jesus

In today’s teaching by guest Pastor L.A. Joiner, we learn the characteristics we should have if we have truly accepted Jesus as Lord of our lives. We live in a “me, me, me!” world focused on comfort and selfish gains. Is it a bad thing to be comfortable or want things for ourselves? Of course not. Is it a bad thing if ALL we want is to be comfortable and have things for ourselves? Yep. As Christians who truly live our lives under the Lordship and leadership of Christ, we should stand out from the crowd. We should be different. In today’s teaching, L.A. shows us how truly living for Jesus means that we know Jesus personally. We believe the Bible without reservation and do what it says (and it says I’m better than you! Ok, sorry, I’ll drop that now). It says we should love and be building relationships in the church. And above all, the overriding characteristic that makes it all happen is submission to God and Godly authority.
